Tours: Germany

The Kent Camerata accepted invitations for concert tours in Southern Germany where they performed in historic castles, churches,  and spa towns.  They appeared at the Bad Mergentheim spa where Beethoven played, the Aub Festival in the 13th century Spittal Church Museum, and the historic noble seats Schloss Gelchsheim and Schloss Aschach, home of the 12th century Prince-Bishops of Würzburg near Bad Kissingen.

The Gelchsheim concert received a glowing review:

“Successful display of musical splendor…a wide spectrum of  music from the 18th  through the 20th  centuries.” (Margit Classen, The  Gelchsheim   Blatt)    See  REVIEW

The Kent Camerata also received excellent coverage in Munich’s Suddeutsche Zeitung for their performance at Seidl Villa, the arts center of Schwabing, and their appearance in the nearby spa of Bad Aibling.

In Stuttgart, the Director of the library of the Hochschule für Musik und darstellande Kunst welcomed Kent Camerata members for their extensive repertoire research.  All concert venues provided occasions to meet local musicians and concert patrons at friendly gatherings.

For concerts in Germany, the Kent Camerata’s representative in Germany is Ray Russell.
