Educational Presentations

The Kent Camerata’s educational presentations may include informal narrated concert performances, master classes, ensemble coaching, and academic/professional career development discussions. College and high school audiences feel comfortable with opportunities to perform, to participate in mock auditions and to discuss options for musical futures. Younger students enjoy concerts with audience dialogue about imagination and creativity in different times and places.

The Kent Camerata’s educational presentations have taken place in many institutions, including universities in the United States and Ireland, and at the leading conservatories of music in Italy and China as well as at elementary and secondary schools in Ireland, Arizona, and in Pennsylvania. At a recent residency in Philadelphia, Springside School and Chestnut Hill Academy invited the Kent Camerata to perform and present workshops for classes in general music, orchestra, and chamber choir. At the final evening concert, the audience of students, parents, teachers, and community members responded with great enthusiasm, inspiring increased student progress and support for the arts in education.

“The Kent Camerata so beautifully demonstrated insight and spirit of sharing the love of classical music...the final concert was a delight for all.” (Dr. Priscilla Sands, Head, Springside School, Philadelphia, PA).
